Suzlon Group has strengthened its strategic partnership with NTPC Green Energy Ltd. (NGEL) by securing a new 378 MW wind energy project, bringing the total capacity awarded to Suzlon by NGEL to an impressive 1,544 MW. This latest win underscores Suzlon’s market leadership and ongoing commitment to large-scale, sustainable energy solutions.
The newly awarded project will be executed in the Gadag region of Karnataka and involves the supply of 120 S144 Wind Turbine Generators (WTGs) with Hybrid Lattice Towers (HLT), each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW. Suzlon will be responsible for the supply, foundation work, erection, and commissioning of the turbines, along with comprehensive maintenance services.
This is the second significant order from NTPC Green Energy in less than eight months, marking a milestone in their growing collaboration.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, commented, “We are proud to be a strategic partner in NTPC’s bold vision to drive India’s clean energy transition. As NGEL works toward a renewable capacity target of 60 GW by 2032, our collaboration demonstrates the critical role of wind energy in achieving these goals. From Gujarat to Karnataka, our shared mission is to elevate India’s global leadership in clean energy.”
JP Chalasani, CEO of Suzlon Group, added, “Securing large-scale, quality projects in the PSU sector is central to our growth strategy.
