Axis Bank shares plunged nearly 5% on Friday following the release of its March quarter earnings, which showed a decline in profit for the period.

On the BSE, the stock fell 4.58% to Rs 1,151.95, while on the NSE, it dropped 4.55% to Rs 1,152.10. Axis Bank is the third-largest private sector lender in the country.
