Suzlon Group, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, has bagged its largest order of FY26 — an 838 MW project from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL) under its Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) initiative. This marks Suzlon’s second-largest order ever, after the 1,544 MW order from NTPC Green Energy, underscoring the growing importance of FDRE projects in enabling India’s clean energy transition.
The 838 MW project will deploy 266 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines, each with a 3.15 MW capacity, spread across Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW). These installations form part of the FDRE bids awarded to SJVN and NTPC.
Suzlon Vice Chairman Girish Tanti highlighted that the collaboration supports Tata Power Renewable Energy’s goal of achieving 100% clean power by 2045 and reflects a decade-long partnership committed to scalable, grid-stable clean energy. CEO JP Chalasani added that the repeat order from TPREL reaffirms Suzlon’s technology, reliability, and execution capabilities, showcasing “Made in India” innovation in delivering round-the-clock, dispatchable renewable power.
