Coal India Limited (CIL) has informed the exchanges that Shri Rajiva Kumar Singh has joined the company as Executive Director (Exploration) following his promotion, with effect from December 29, 2025, pursuant to Regulation 30 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015, and the relevant SEBI circular.

The appointment places Shri Singh one level below the Board of Directors. A senior geologist with over three decades of experience in geological exploration and resource evaluation, he brings extensive domain expertise to the role.

Shri Rajiva Kumar Singh is an alumnus of Science College, Patna, and Patna University, holding a B.Sc. (Hons.) and M.Sc. in Geology. Over the past decade, he has held key leadership positions at Central Mine Planning & Design Institute Limited (CMPDIL) and played a pivotal role as Nodal Officer to the Ministry of Coal for promotional and detailed exploration initiatives.

Coal India said the appointment is expected to further strengthen its exploration capabilities and support its resource development objectives.
