AXISCADES Technologies Ltd on Monday announced a strategic partnership with OGMA – Ind£stria Aeronáutica de Portugal, a subsidiary of Embraer, to scale aerospace manufacturing, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO), airframe engineering and certification services for both commercial and military platforms.
Under the agreement, AXISCADES will provide maintenance and support services for Embraer and other aircraft manufacturers’ fleets in India, aligning with its strategy to move up the aerospace value chain through high-value, long-term service offerings. The Embraer fleet in India includes VVIP and VIP aircraft, AEW&C platforms and various commercial aircraft.
The partnership combines AXISCADES’ capabilities in aircraft design, avionics, radar, electronic warfare, drones and system integration with OGMA’s century-long expertise in airframe and engine MRO. The companies will jointly explore business opportunities across India, the UAE and the wider MENA region, while leveraging OGMA’s established relationships with global OEMs such as Embraer, Airbus Defence, Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney.
AXISCADES is also developing one of India’s largest integrated aerospace and defence manufacturing and MRO hubs near Bengaluru International Airport, featuring dedicated hangars, engine and speed shops, a welding centre of excellence, electronics manufacturing, system integration and certification testing facilities. Through the partnership, the company aims to strengthen indigenous MRO capabilities and support India’s self-reliance objectives.
