Organic Recycling Systems Limited (ORSL) has announced that its Research & Innovation Centre (RIC) at MIDC Mahape, Navi Mumbai, has received accreditation under ISO/IEC 17025:2017 from the National Accreditation Board for Testing and Calibration Laboratories (NABL). The certification validates the laboratory’s technical competence in testing and calibration.
The NABL accreditation enables ORSL to provide globally accepted, independent testing and validation services, significantly expanding the commercial and revenue-generating potential of its R&D infrastructure.
With this recognition, the company’s RIC is now positioned to generate incremental and recurring revenue streams through third-party testing and certification, technology validation and performance benchmarking, as well as sponsored research, pilot trials, and collaborative R&D initiatives with academic institutions and industry partners.
NABL-accredited laboratories play a crucial role in ensuring data reliability, regulatory compliance, and performance assurance—particularly in large-scale waste management, compressed biogas, and renewable energy projects. ORSL stated that the accredited RIC enhances its capability to support stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle with credible and standardized testing outcomes.
Commenting on the development, Dr. Manju Tanwar, Chief Scientist and Head – Research & Development at ORSL, said the accreditation validates the scientific rigor, systems, and technical expertise of the laboratory team. She added that the recognition will allow the company to expand beyond internal R&D into advanced testing, technology validation, and collaborative research for the broader industry, positioning the RIC as a knowledge and innovation hub to drive faster technology adoption, performance enhancement, and regulatory compliance across the sector.
