Varroc Engineering Limited, a leading global Tier-1 automotive supplier, has won the In-Cabin Infotainment & Connected Technology Award at the inaugural ET AutoTech Awards 2026 for its indigenous connected-car platform, VarrocLink.
The award recognizes VarrocLink's innovative approach to in-vehicle infotainment and connectivity. Built on an advanced asynchronous architecture, the platform leverages the infotainment system's onboard GPS for navigation, reducing dependence on smartphones and addressing challenges such as battery drain and connectivity issues during long journeys.
Unlike conventional smartphone mirroring solutions, VarrocLink enables automobile manufacturers to create fully customized, OEM-branded user interfaces and digital experiences without relying on costly third-party licensing frameworks. The platform is designed to support a wide range of vehicle categories, including passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, internal combustion engine (ICE) models, and electric vehicles (EVs).
Currently being integrated into next-generation models of a major Indian automaker, VarrocLink offers features such as music controls, call and SMS notifications, calendar synchronization, and a 360-degree vehicle view through a mobile application. The company plans to expand the platform with remote vehicle management capabilities, including diagnostics, health monitoring, remote air-conditioning control, horn and light activation, and vehicle location services.
Commenting on the achievement, Dhruv Jain, Whole-time Director and CEO of Varroc Business II, said the platform reflects the company's commitment to developing locally relevant solutions that meet global standards. ET Auto also praised Varroc's innovation-driven approach in addressing real-world mobility challenges and shaping the future of connected transportation.
