State-run NHPC Ltd on Friday announced the commencement of commercial operations for its 300 MW solar power project in Rajasthan.

The milestone follows the successful trial run of the final phase, comprising 85.72 MW, of the 300 MW Karnisar Solar Project in Bikaner, which was completed last Friday, the company said in a stock exchange filing.

NHPC further stated that it received approval from the Punjab State Electricity Regulatory Commission (PSERC) on Thursday.
