The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), guided by the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG), has launched Special Campaign 5.0 to institutionalize cleanliness (Swachhata) and minimize pendency in official work across its offices.
During the first fortnight, DPIIT identified and began addressing all pending references — including those from the PMO, VIPs, MPs, State Governments, Cabinet, and public grievances.
As of 22nd October 2025, the department has made significant progress:
Over 47% of PMO references disposed of
More than 60% of public grievances resolved
Over 75% of identified e-files closed
291 cleanliness campaigns (nearly 60% of planned activities) completed
Special Campaign 5.0, running from 2nd to 31st October 2025, follows a preparatory phase held between 15th and 30th September 2025. The campaign emphasizes efficient record management, timely disposal of pendencies, and maintaining clean workplaces, reinforcing DPIIT’s commitment to a responsive, efficient, and Swachh government environment.
