Yogi Adityanath has formally launched Project GANGA (Government Assisted Network for Growth & Advancement), a large-scale digital inclusion initiative aimed at expanding broadband connectivity and promoting digital entrepreneurship across Uttar Pradesh.
The project is being implemented in association with OneOTT Intertainment Limited, the broadband vertical of Hinduja Global Solutions Limited, following a memorandum of understanding signed with the State Transformation Commission (STC) in March 2026.
Project GANGA aims to provide high-speed broadband connectivity to more than 20 lakh households across the state over the next two to three years through the "Ganga Fiber" brand. The initiative is designed to improve access to digital services, including education, healthcare, remote work opportunities and other online services, particularly in underserved regions.
As part of the programme, 8,000 to 10,000 Digital Service Providers (DSPs) will be onboarded at the Nyaya Panchayat level, with a target of ensuring that at least 50% of these entrepreneurs are women. The initiative is expected to generate more than 1 lakh direct and indirect employment opportunities across the state.
DSPs will receive support through training, technology enablement and financing assistance under the CM-YUVA scheme, enabling them to deliver last-mile broadband connectivity and digital services in their communities.
The project portal has also gone live, allowing citizens to apply for participation in the initiative. State officials said the programme will help strengthen Uttar Pradesh's digital infrastructure, promote inclusive economic growth and accelerate the state's digital transformation agenda.
