Rising tensions between India and Pakistan in the wake of the Pahalgam terror attack and repeated ceasefire violations along the Line of Control (LoC) triggered heightened volatility in Indian equity markets, causing benchmark indices to close in the red on Friday. Despite this, the markets registered overall gains for the week.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 79212.53 down by -588.9 points or by -0.74 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24039.35 down by -207.35 points or by -0.86 %.
