Domestic bourses bounced back in green during the morning session after the Reserve Bank of India's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) reduced the repo rate by 50 basis points to 5.5%, down from 6%.
This marks the third consecutive rate cut, following two earlier reductions of 25 basis points each in February and April.
At 10:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82001.5 up by 559.46 points or by 0.69 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24884.6 up by 133.7 points or by 0.54 %.
Sensex touched intraday high of 82033.98 and intraday low of 81140.11 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 24886.5 and intraday low of 24671.45
