Domestic bourses continued to gain strength during the noon trading session after the Reserve Bank cut repo rate by a higher-than-expected 50 basis points to prop up growth.

At 12:45 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82141.45 up by 699.41 points or by 0.86 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24971.4 up by 220.5 points or by 0.89 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82299.89 and intraday low of 81140.11 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25029.5 and intraday low of 24671.45

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 9413.00,+5.38%), Bajaj Finserv Ltd. (Rs. 2011.00,+3.47%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1197.75,+3.37%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 830.00,+3.35%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 12480.00,+2.94%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 156.50,-0.95%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1676.75,-0.39%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2372.15,-0.21%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1876.30,-0.12%), Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2243.00,-0.02%), among others.
