Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty were trading lower on Thursday amid profit-taking in blue-chip stocks and continuous foreign fund outflows.

At 10:40 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 82537.12 down by -189.52 points or by -0.23 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25171.95 down by -47.95 points or by -0.19 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82784.24 and intraday low of 82456.37 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25246.25 and intraday low of 25154.4

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 310.95,+2.96%), Tata Motors Ltd. (Rs. 705.60,+2.23%), Bharti Airtel Ltd. (Rs. 1962.90,+1.01%), Tata Steel Ltd. (Rs. 163.75,+0.58%), IndusInd Bank Ltd. (Rs. 855.00,+0.43%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (Rs. 1521.50,-1.65%), Infosys Ltd. (Rs. 1557.35,-1.08%), HCL Technologies Ltd. (Rs. 1516.00,-0.92%), Axis Bank Ltd. (Rs. 1095.55,-0.87%), Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (Rs. 2151.00,-0.87%), among others.
