Indian equity benchmark indices, Sensex and Nifty, were trading higher on Wednesday amid positive sentiment around the finalisation of the India-European Union Free Trade Agreement (FTA), along with upbeat global cues.

At 14:30 hours, the 30-share benchmark index was trading at 81980.97 up by 123.49 points or by 0.15 % and then NSE Nifty was at 25219.1 up by 43.7 points or by 0.17 %.

Sensex touched intraday high of 82503.97 and intraday low of 81814.75 The NSE Nifty touched intraday high of 25372.1 and intraday low of 25187.65

The top gainers of the BSE Sensex pack were Eternal Ltd. (Rs. 265.90,+4.87%), Bajaj Finance Ltd. (Rs. 928.10,+1.43%), Power Grid Corporation of India Ltd. (Rs. 258.00,+1.42%), Adani Ports & Special Economic Zone Ltd. (Rs. 1378.45,+1.04%), NTPC Ltd. (Rs. 348.10,+0.85%), among others.

The top losers of the BSE Sensex pack were Asian Paints Ltd. (Rs. 2513.25,-4.25%), Maruti Suzuki India Ltd. (Rs. 14899.00,-2.24%), Hindustan Unilever Ltd. (Rs. 2351.10,-2.05%), Nestle India Ltd. (Rs. 1280.40,-1.78%), Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (Rs. 1611.80,-1.68%), among others.
