Benchmark equity indices Sensex and Nifty ended lower for the second consecutive session on Wednesday, weighed down by elevated crude oil prices and selling pressure in Tata Group stocks following Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran’s decision not to seek reappointment after his current term ends on February 20, 2027.
The 30-share benchmark index ended at 77966.35 down by -187.9 points or by -0.24 % and then NSE Nifty was at 24435.95 down by -35.75 points or by -0.15 %.
